What's the craziest thing someone INFORMED on you about?

the culture of jws as encouraged by the watchtower is one of informing on one another, reporting to either the elders or ones designated head.

whats the wackiest thing that someone reported on you?

im not talking about a black-and-white watchtower rule that would land you in a judicial committee, but some judgmental nonsense that someone thought they should turn you in about?.

In the spanish cong: I was at the beach with my child, I went on my own with with my child as many times before, wore a 2 piece bikini, i workout at the gym alot .... ran into some spanish bros there, their wives dressed like it was winter, it was 95 degress, must have said something to their elders husband's cuz them someone later told me that I was the caused of their husbands "committing adultry in their hearts"..... oh & the other non jws surf chicks in thong bikinis what??... oh woman with children can't wear bikinis I was told by an elder, it's not appropriate....!!! Stupid.... i replyed, i find it appropriate for the beach I guess if pple feel that way they shouldn't be at the beach or any where it hurts their conscious, sorry brother but my conscious is clear....

KH reinstatement letters filed

does anyone know if you can request your original reinstatement letters back from the congregation.... mine contained too many specifics & personal information that i prefer for no one to know & have access to 2 elders of that committee are no longer there, i've been reinstated 4 yrs & had been df'd for 3 years & i had wrote 3 letters until finally was acepted by 3rd one,..... has anyone attempted to get them back?

since ttat i don't feel comfortable for anyone to know deeply private things i wrote in those lettrrs...

Poor boy soo sweet, I don't like when they are people are confrontational with JW,... honestly many JWs don't know what we do about TTATT & even Ray Franz commented about this in crises of conscience. ... it's not their fault they have been deeply influenced with the WT... captives of concept book said people can be won over either by 1 word or they can't be won by 1000 or something like that.... this situation could've been handled with more reasoning & tact.. just saying

This was & is a very disturbing paragraph when it was discussed at our meeting last year & mind blogging how some commented that we must have explicit trust in the faithful & discrete slave & the direction given & it being a case of life or death.... i even remember seeing a pix of on the WT of pple in a basement, I'm sorry but it this paragraph reminded me of Jim jones at Jonestown... very disturbing

about 4 months back, apostate lon posted a youtube video entitled watchtower society broadcasts pagan symbol.

i try not to believe in conspiracy theories but that symbol just doesn't belong there...hmm.

I did watch the broadcast of Feb. On jw.org, this appears in the 47 minute I did find it interesting that they would show a symbol that basically matches the early books of russell they could've not shown that hmmmm... but it was strange they did .. are they implying russell earlier books were inspired by the satan who transforms himself as an angel of light? & we should discard when it comes to TTATT?.... CRAZY

Goingthrutheemotions, i have called the assembly hall directly & they will give you the days & times, I've done that many times when I want to go to one that is outside my congregations circuit... find out the assembly hall in your area Google for their # & call them, someone would either give u the dates or there is a recording....best wishes

Going Nuclear - Marriage

has anyone here gone nuclear on their spouse and, all of a sudden, came out in the open as a jw opposer?.

by this i mean, sitting them down and saying: i no longer want to be a jw anymore, do not want to go to meetings or preaching anymore!

Soo sorry your going thru this, but stay strong. .. i agree with one who said to bring up your doubts in family worship night but do it more like it was suggested, someone at wirk, etc asked you, "how do you know for sure that Jehovah chose your religion back in 1914-1919, & u responded to that person well we went thru a spiritual inspection based on the "quality" spiritual food being served at that time & that's why we say we were chosen by Jesus.." then u can ask ur hubby to help you research old watchtower & publications from the KH library & ask other older JWS if they have publications served during that time & by that hopefully he can also discover with you the TTAT, & if you cant find those publications express to ur hubby how important this information is to you both as JWs & reach to ithers if tgey have them so t he 2 of u can have a response to all who question our "truth"... that you want to be like Paul giving a public defense of your faith to those ask u asking it, quote the scripture, .... if he discovers he can't find anyone who has them, just say "that's odd, i would think that something soo important & historic in our history would be soo readily available to us in the KH library or ordered-requested from the WT so we can use that with others out in the ministry to prove we have the truth, don't you think it's strange?" ..... i find that works to get them thinking, I had one jw say that makes perfect sense.... seeding doubts with reasonING works best instead of throwing accusations it puts the hard core JW in defense where they don't listen to anything. ... Jesus did the same to his apostles & the pharises.... best wishes to you

I agree with Steve & Ricky G, you u to tell her you married her & not tge religion.... approach your concerns in a positive way, & be affectionate with her in that way she would realize your love for her is independent of her & your religious beliefs.... woman le to be loved & kept on their toes give her admiration .... then down the road give your family worship a history study on the JW with the proclaimers book & use the references there to do ur own research & introduce the copies of the actual watchtowers, u can find them on the internet being taught in the 1900s, & say "oh look at here what it actually says on the WT" playing u didn't know avoiding malice though but playing it guillable, say u want to have family worship night & bring the proclaimers book... just a thought. .. but I agree every marriage should have intimacy & the more the better I feel just as strong as you about it jejeje
